Pakistan, LENSANUSANTARA.CO.ID – The Pamekasan District Health Office, Madura, East Java, in early 2022, recorded 43 cases of patients suffering from dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).

This was conveyed by the Head of the Health Office, dr. Sayfuddin, represented by the Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Hidayat, said that the data was taken from reports on admission to Puskesmas and hospitals in Pamekasan Regency.

“From January 2022 until now, Pamekasan Regency has recorded 43 patients with dengue cases and three patients died,” he said.

Hidayat added that, for cases of DHF, it can be said that it often occurs when entering the rainy season.

“The community needs to be aware, this dengue fever must exist every year, and it is seasonal, the Pamekasan Health Office has previously provided socialization and health education counseling to the community,” he said.

Hidayat also explained that his party had also provided counseling regarding the Eradication of Mosquito Nests or PSN.

“PSN is eradicating mosquito nests, people can do it by 3 M methods, for example draining and closing water reservoirs and burying used goods that have the potential to become mosquito nests,” he explained.
