Former Palm Beach County Teacher Arrested in Alleged Sexual relationship with Student
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – A former science teacher at Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Palm Beach County has been arrested and charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and offense against a student by an authority figure, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff‘s Office. David Farley, 48, was booked into the Palm beach County Main Detention Center on december 4 and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Authorities allege an inappropriate sexual relationship between Farley and a student. Farley invoked his right to remain silent after being read his Miranda rights, according to an affidavit.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy confirmed its full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.”We are approaching this serious situation with the utmost care, keeping the well-being of our students, faculty and families at the forefront,” a school spokesperson stated. The school emphasized its commitment to maintaining “a safe, compassionate and educational habitat for all” and is providing support to those affected.
Farley is no longer employed by the academy.
