Palm Beach County teacher arrested for alleged sexual abuse of student

Former Palm Beach County Teacher Arrested in‍ Alleged Sexual ⁣relationship with Student

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – A former science ‌teacher at Donna Klein ‌Jewish Academy in Palm Beach ⁣County has​ been arrested and charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor‍ and offense against a‍ student⁢ by an⁢ authority figure,​ according to‌ the Palm Beach County Sheriff‘s ⁢Office. David Farley, 48, was booked ‌into the ⁢Palm beach County Main Detention Center on december 4 and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Authorities allege an inappropriate sexual relationship⁤ between Farley and a student. Farley invoked his right ⁣to remain silent after being⁤ read ​his Miranda ‌rights, according to ‌an affidavit.

Donna Klein Jewish Academy ⁣confirmed its full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.”We are approaching this serious⁣ situation with the utmost care, keeping the well-being of our students, faculty and families at the ‌forefront,” a school spokesperson stated. The school emphasized its commitment to maintaining “a safe, compassionate and educational habitat for all”‌ and is⁢ providing support to ‌those affected.

Farley ⁤is no longer ⁢employed by​ the academy.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s ‌Office is continuing the ⁢investigation and urges anyone with information to contact them at 561-688-3000.
