The Times of Israel reported on the 16th (local time) that the rate of inhabitants’ antibody formation reached 40% in Palestine without the Corona 19 vaccine.
According to the media, the World Health Organization (WHO) conducted a preliminary investigation of COVID-19 antibodies in Palestine regions, such as the West Bank of the Jordan River and Gaza, and it was estimated that about 40% of the residents had the antibodies.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) and the National Institute for Public Health conducted an investigation by collecting and testing 6,000 blood samples with the support of the WHO.
The head of the WHO in Palestine explained, “We obtained samples by randomly selecting households to be surveyed and by randomly selecting survey targets within one household.”
An official from the Palestinian Institute of Health explains that it is not surprising that the rate of antibody formation in Palestine is high.
In the case of Xi’an, when the Corona 19 epidemic reached its peak, 2,000 confirmed cases a day came out, and the positive rate (relative to the number of tests) reached 30%. Gaza, with about 2 million people, once had a positivity rate of 45%.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the west bank of the Jordan River, which has been officially counted so far, is 168,444 and 1,936 deaths.
There were only 53,514 officially reported cases and 537 deaths in Gaza, but it is estimated that there is a big difference from the actual number when considering the antibody formation rate.
Palestine has not yet conducted extensive vaccinations for residents, except Israel recently provided 2,000 doses of the Corona 19 vaccine to medical staff.
