The Pakistani Navy is actively enhancing its capabilities. The navy is emphasizing inter-service collaboration, with more joint exercises planned with the PAF. This focus on readiness comes amid a global environment where naval spending has reached unprecedented levels, with an estimated $240 billion spent in 2024 alone (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, 2024).

Technological Advancements and Future Plans

Admiral Ashraf also highlighted the significance of technological innovation in modern conflicts, particularly the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). He announced a partnership between the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park and the Pakistan Maritime Science and Technology Park to advance indigenous capabilities in unmanned systems.
