Pakistan Auto Sales Surge in October, Driven by Lower Rates and New Models
karachi, Pakistan - November 12, 2025 – Pakistan’s automotive sector experienced a significant upswing in October, with overall sales climbing across nearly all vehicle categories. The surge signals continued positive momentum for the industry,fueled by easing interest rates and the introduction of new vehicle models.
Cumulative sales for the first four months of Fiscal Year 2026 (July-october) reached 59,600 units, a 46% increase compared to the 40,693 units sold during the same period last year. Car, van, pickup, and SUV sales alone jumped 32% year-on-year. analysts predict this trend will continue throughout FY26.
Indus Motor Company (IMC) led month-over-month growth, posting a 44% increase to 4,529 units in October. Sales of the Corolla, Yaris, and Cross models collectively rose 41% MoM and 78% YoY to 3,742 units, while Fortuner and IMVs saw a 58% MoM and 83% YoY increase, reaching 787 units. IMC’s total sales for the four-month period reached 14,418 units, a 66% year-over-year increase.
Hyundai Nishat reported the highest year-over-year growth among automakers, with an 82% increase to 1,086 units in October, driven by strong demand for the Tucson and Elantra models. However, the company experienced an 8% decrease in month-over-month sales. Total Hyundai Nishat sales from July to October FY26 reached 4,698 units, up 81% YoY.
Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) recorded a 72% yoy and 13% MoM increase in October, selling 2,247 units, boosted by the City and Civic models. HACL’s cumulative sales for 4MFY26 surged 54% to 7,487 units.
Pak Suzuki motor Company (PSMC) saw a decline in October sales, dropping 18% MoM to 7,403 units, primarily due to lower sales of the Swift, Ravi, and Every models. Despite the monthly dip, year-over-year sales increased slightly by 1%. Total Pak Suzuki sales for the first four months of FY26 rose 33% YoY to 27,234 units.
The two- and three-wheeler segment also experienced robust growth,with sales increasing 20% YoY and 4% MoM to 165,500 units in October,nearing a four-year high. Atlas Honda Limited (AHL) achieved a record, selling 140,178 CD70 motorcycles in October, surpassing its previous record set in September 2025. Cumulative sales for this segment in 4MFY26 climbed 30% YoY to 597,000 units.
Tractor sales jumped significantly, increasing 67% YoY and 265% MoM to 2,886 units in October, largely attributed to the Punjab Green tractor Scheme.However, cumulative sales for the first four months of FY26 fell 15% to 5,867 units.
Truck and bus sales also showed substantial growth, surging 118% YoY in October, although thay dipped 7% MoM to 766 units.In the first four months of FY26,sales rose 106% to 2,630 units.
Myesha Sohail anticipates the positive momentum to continue throughout FY26, citing lower interest rates and the launch of new models – including conventional, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options – as key drivers.
