Mexico City – During the health conference at the National Palace, the agency’s under-secretary, Hugo López Gatell, said there were two types of immunity for Covid-19.
The first is immunity cells that destroy the virus and that can be generated by collective immunity and the other by an external action that is done through a vaccine.

The vaccine is only a specific protective measure if it meets certain quality parameters and the immunity is of sufficient duration.
Federal official spoke of third scenario where Covid-19 becomes a disease endemic, that is, the disease persists for a prolonged period, although it is not possible to say how long.

Covid-19 can become a flu-like phenomenon, although they are caused by different viruses, they can behave clinically and similar epidemiological behavior, said López Gatell Ramírez.
We don’t know if Covid-19 will enter at a seasonal stage, as occurs in most respiratory illnesses, he warned.
Maybe Covid-19, it can have seasonal fluctuations, he concluded.
Finally, the Secretariat Health reported in its latest report that the death toll from coronavirus disease is 65,816.
