This Wednesday, Paddy, a 3 year old cocker spaniel, was surprised by the high level of the Meuse. The dog was taken into the cold waters of the river. After struggling for several minutes, under the eyes of his mistress, he was finally rescued by divers from the Liège firefighters. “They were exceptional,” says Laurence, the dog’s owner.

Wednesday, late morning, Laurence returned his dogs in his vehicle, when Paddy, his 3-year-old cocker spaniel, escaped his vigilance. The dog was probably attracted to a duck, as there are many on the Boverie side. In recent days, the level of the Meuse is particularly high, the fault of the rains which water our region. The current is also particularly fast.
The dog was surprised by the water level and carried away in the Diversion and it took firefighting to save him from drowning.
