Oven cleaning service Owenu Maidenhead is showing its support for the local community by sponsoring the Beer and Cider Festival.

The Maidenhead Beer and Cider Festival, organized by SWM Camra, takes place on Friday and Saturday (July 8/9) at the NMCC Sports Bar in Summerleaze Park, Maidenhead.

The festival is supported by local charity Alexander Devine Child Care Service, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2022.

As well as being a sponsor, Owenu Maidenhead, owned by Ryan Penniston, is offering a clean oven as a prize in a raffle to raise money for the hospice.

Ryan said: “I’m really keen to support events in the Maidenhead area as well as getting to know people from the wider community.

“It’s great to see the beer and cider festival back on the city’s social calendar after a hiatus since 2019 due to Covid restrictions.”

Allan Willoughby of SWM Camra, which promotes Real Ale, Real Cider and Real Pubs in East Berks and South Bucks, said: “We are really pleased to be able to create a traditional annual festival after having to bring it online during Covid.

“We are grateful to our sponsors like Owens Maidenhead and it is because of their wonderful support that we are able to put on such a great two day celebration of real ale and cider.”

Alongside 50 cask ales, ten hand-crafted casks and a selection of real cider, cheese, soft drinks, wine and prosecco, they will be available to festival-goers, which are expected to attract at least 1,000 people.

There will be live music with entertainment including Dacoda Band, Maidenhead Concert and Elaine and The Bottle Kids.

There will also be a cheese and beer mixing session and a tasting session hosted by our brilliant brewer and head coach, Kristen Crane.

Ryan has nearly a decade of experience safely disassembling, cleaning and reassembling all brands and types of stoves.

It uses Owens’ exclusive range of eco-friendly oven cleaners to restore ovens to near-showroom condition.

In addition to the city, Owen Maidenhead also covers Marlow, Taplow, Bray, Braywick, Cookham, Hurley, Woodlands Park, Furze Platt, Hitcham, Burchett’s Green, Touchen End, Fifield, Medmenham, Bourne End and surrounding areas.
