Overwatch 2 will be free to play

Activision Blizzard now announces that their upcoming first-person shooter Overwatch 2 will be free to play.

The PVP version of the game will be released in “early access” on October 4 for PC, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Playstation 5, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

When the “full version” will be available is currently unknown, but Activision Blizzard says they plan to support the game and release new updates to it for many years to come.

The first Overwatch was originally released in 2016. Activision Blizzard showed Overwatch 2 for the first time in 2019.
