Ramatla is a tank hero who appears in the second season. He has two forms, the “Omnic Form”, which is the basic form with a staff, and the “Nemesis Form”, which allows for more aggressive approaches by spreading out. The Ramatra gameplay trailer released on November 27 revealed the hero’s abilities. Along with this, the official Blizzard site has a news article by lead balance designer Josh Noh and associate game designer Tess Leiman.public. In it, they both detail the capabilities of the Ramatra.

In his basic form, “Omnic Form”, Ramattra looks like a monk holding a staff called the Void Accelerator. The Void Accelerator appears to be a weapon capable of both firing and barrier deployment. According to Mr. Noh, the main attack is shooting, but the bullet speed is not fast, but there is no distance attenuation. On the other hand, the Void Barrier sub-ability can deploy a barrier boasting a high durability value at the target location. According to Leiman, this barrier will display the deployment position on the floor when in use. Since the player can deploy to any position within a certain radius, it can be used correctly according to the situation. It can be used defensively, such as protecting allies and separating enemies, and offensively, such as creating spaces that are easy to attack and shortening the distance between allies and enemies.

Ramatra can transform into a more aggressive “Nemesis Form” with his abilities. Since this is a form that assumes close-quarters combat, it will be especially effective when the distance to the enemy shortens. When in Nemesis form, Ramattra has recently developed two arms for attack and defense, and his appearance has become gigantic. He gives you extra armor. Nemesis Form will last 8 seconds and the ability cooldown will be 8 seconds. The main attack in this form, Pummel, strikes head-on and fires a short-range shockwave with punch-penetrating ability. According to Leiman, this attack will penetrate Reinhardt’s Barrier Field, D.Va’s Defense Matrix, Winston’s Barrier Projector, and more.

Sub-Skill Block is a defensive skill that greatly reduces damage from the front. According to Noh, while blocking slows movement speed and prevents attacks, blocks have no cooldown. Additionally, attacks surrounding it, such as Hanzo’s Dragon Strike Wave and Torbjörn’s Molten Core, are also said to have a damage reduction effect. The key is how effectively you can use the 8 second nemesis form to disrupt the opponent’s field.

Voracious Vortex, a formless ability, releases projectiles that unfold in a circular field when they hit the ground. According to Noh, this projectile will ricochet off walls, enemies, and ceilings, so it will only be effective when it hits the ground. In addition to damaging and slowing enemies within deployment range, heroes who can fly are also said to be knocked down. Even Winston Leaps is said to be unlikely to soar if caught in a ravenous vortex. This ability that can stop the enemy can be used not only offensively but also defensively. It seems that it can also be used to keep the opponent away from allies or to prevent them from entering a specific area.

And Ramatra’s ultimate is a technique called Annihilation. When used, it forcibly transforms into Nemesis form and releases energy. You can continue to damage enemies within a certain radius centered on Ramattra. According to Mr. Leiman, the point at which it exerts an effect on a large area around you is close to the ultimate annihilation of Zenyatta. On the other hand, Annihilation is a very aggressive ultimate, as opposed to the healing ability, Annihilation. In Annihilation, it is said that the Ultimate will continue to last by damaging the enemy. It appears to be a reliable technique that can “annihilate” the enemy unit if it continues to capture the enemy well.
