SHOPS AND SERVICES

Where can I go shopping?
In addition to shops with the basic assortment (especially groceries, drugstores, pharmacies), other small shops and service establishments will be closed. This also applies to other stores in large shopping malls.

What shops and services will remain open?
The new government measure mentions a number of exceptions. These include, for example, the sale of fuels, cosmetics, medical devices, small domestic animals and feed for them, as well as newsagents, laundries and dry cleaners, car repair shops and towing services, as well as many others.

Where, on the other hand, must it remain closed?
In their ban, ministers explicitly mention concerts, theaters, cinemas and circuses, as well as congresses and trade fairs, casinos, all indoor sports grounds, swimming pools, saunas and solariums, as well as many other places. Hobby markets will also be closed.

Will there be open hairdressers or beauty salons?
No, we will have to forget about the popular beautification of professionals again for a few weeks.

And what restrictions will apply to large shopping malls?
People will not be allowed to gather, not even on their rest areas (chairs, chairs, benches) or escalators. Also in these centers, visitors will not be able to connect to wi-fi. Compliance with the instructions and spacings of at least two meters will have to be checked and required by the security guard.

WORK, TRAVEL, LEISURE

So where can we go at all?
Trips to work, necessary trips to relatives, to buy essentials or to a doctor or veterinarian are allowed. There can be a maximum of two people in public together – with the exception of household members or co-workers.

Who can go to work?
People should stay at home and, if possible, work at home office. Employers should also try to keep their employees’ contact with customers to the minimum necessary. Office hours will be limited to a maximum of five hours two days a week. Everything that can be done should be done in writing, by e-mail or by phone.

Can we at least go into nature?
Just like in the spring, walks to parks or nature outside the city now remain allowed. The Minister of Health Roman Prymula even explicitly recommends them on his twitter account.

Can we go to a cottage or chalet?
Stays on them are allowed, but apart from one family, there can be only a maximum of two people. If on the way there you have someone in the car besides your family members, you have to ride in a veil on your face.

Are there any exceptions to the ban on free movement?
Yes, it is allowed to travel from the Czech Republic, for example. People can also attend weddings or funerals, but there can be no more than ten people. Visits to cemeteries and, of course, return home are also allowed.

Can he play sports outdoors at outdoor sports grounds?
Since only a maximum of two people can be outside together (unless they are members of the same family), it is possible, for example, to go jogging or cycling. However, team sports require a larger number of players and therefore cannot be performed in the current conditions.

May I go outside the dog?
Yes, but only one stranger can accompany you. Veils and distances from other dog breeders are a must. But you can even go to the vet with your pet.

Can people stay in hotels?
No, the provision of accommodation services is also prohibited. Exceptions are people traveling for work or foreigners with a work permit until leaving the Czech Republic. Hotels can also accommodate people who will be quarantined or isolated.

SCHOOLS

Will primary school pupils return to classrooms from November 2, as originally promised by the government?
It is no longer certain at all. According to the Minister of Health Prymula, it will depend on the further development of the epidemic. The variant is that only first and second graders would return to school first. It was not possible to find out how many days in advance it will be decided to return to schools by the deadline of the issue.

VALIDITY OF THE MEASURE

From when to when will the new bans apply?
Their validity will start on Thursday at 6.00 am. They should last until November 3. The government should decide on their possible further extension on October 30.

What measures have been in place so far?
From Friday, October 9:
• Gyms, fitness centers, saunas, solariums, gyms and indoor sports grounds are closed.
• Zoos are closed.
• Game rooms and casinos are closed.
• Interest groups for children are closed.
• Restaurants, bars and discos can only be open from 06:00 until 20:00. A maximum of four people can sit at the table.
• Only two could enter shops, shopping centers and businesses.

From Monday 12 October:
• Theaters, cinemas, museums, galleries, castles and chateaux, observatories, fairs, etc. are closed.
• There are no amateur or professional sports competitions.
• Only 10 people can attend services.

From Wednesday 14 October:
• All types of schools will switch to distance learning until 1 November. Only kindergartens have an exception.
• Restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, etc. are closed. They can only work through the dispensing windows (they must close at 20:00).
• It is forbidden to consume alcohol in public places.
• People can only meet for a maximum of six people. And not only inside buildings, but also outside. Exceptions to meetings in large numbers are, for example, politicians and government officials.
