You can also save money by changing the circuit breaker. If you no longer use power-intensive machines, such as an old domestic circular saw or welder, but instead use modern, energy-saving appliances, have the circuit breaker checked.

It is possible that you still have an unnecessarily strong circuit breaker. Because of this, you pay an unnecessarily high flat rate per month. For example, by replacing a three-phase circuit breaker with a size of 40 A to a single-phase circuit breaker with a size of 25 A, you can save hundreds of crowns a year.

The energy label will help you find your way around. It always indicates which category the product belongs to (category D is the least economical, on the contrary, category A together with plus signs are the most economical). If you replace an old refrigerator with a new one, you can save up to 20 percent of the total annual cost.

Location of appliances

How much this or another appliance will consume electricity depends not only on its consumption, but also on its “smart” location. If you place the refrigerator next to the radiator or next to the hot air oven, it is obvious that it will need more energy for cooling. The same goes for boilers used to heat hot water, for example – we should never place them in a cold cellar.

Just as mobile devices are being technologically and software-wise improved, so have the help of washers, dryers and dishwashers.
