Overtake Rossi on the Last Lap of the MotoGP San Marino, Joan Mir Apologizes

KOMPAS.com – Suzuki Ecstar racer, Joan Mir, apologize to Valentino Rossi for his action on the last lap of the race MotoGP San Marino 2020.

Valentino Rossi had to settle for finishing fourth in the race MotoGP San Marino which took place at the Misano Circuit, Sunday (13/9/2020) evening WIB.

The Doctor, nicknamed Valentino Rossi, was still in third position when the San Marino MotoGP race entered the final lap.

However, Joan Mir who was behind Rossi maneuvered and overtook the Monster Energy Yamaha racer when the race left the last lap.

Mir also managed to grab the third position MotoGP San Marino 2020 as well as thwart Rossi’s ambition to reach the 200th podium in his home race this time.

After finishing the race, the Spaniard was quite satisfied with his rhythm, which resulted in his second podium this season.

Although it was impossible to catch up with Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) who came out victorious, Joan Mir was lucky to beat his teammates Alex Rins and Valentino Rossi.

Joan Mir said that he would not forget the action that overtook Rossi in the last round of the 2020 San Marino MotoGP.

This 23-year-old racer also expressed his apology to Valentino Rossi for his action.

“Then I overtake Alex Rins, and the last lap with Valentino Rossi which is a moment I will never forget it was a beautiful maneuver,” he added.

“I apologize to him because he has done this race very well, but either way, this is my day,” said Joan Mir.
