Overpayments for the procurement of firefighting cars will be returned by the private sector

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, said that overpayments for the procurement of fire fighting transportation equipment by the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat) will be returned by the private sector to the state treasury in the near future.

“It is the private party who returns it, it has nothing to do with the provincial government,” said Riza at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (15/4/2021).

The total value of the overpayment to be paid was Rp. 6.52 billion. According to Riza, the excess price has already started to be paid, leaving only around Rp 1 billion.

“The overpayment has been paid, there the definition of the overpayment has been paid, which is Rp. 6.5 (billion), in the room only Rp. 1 billion is left. It will be paid in the near future by the private sector, not us,” he said .

Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (CPC) The DKI Jakarta Province previously revealed the difference in the price of the procurement of fire engines in 2019 which was considered problematic in terms of the contract price.

Reporting from Book I of the 2019 DKI Jakarta Provincial Financial Statements issued by the BPK, there is a significant difference in the real price and the value of the procurement contract with a total value of Rp 6.5 billion.

Procurement of unit work packages submersible is known to have a real price of Rp. 9.03 billion, while the value of the contract is Rp. 9.79 billion. While the unit work package quick response the real price is IDR 36.2 billion, while the contract value paid by the DKI Regional Government is IDR 39.68 billion.

For the Fire Management Unit for Mass Transportation Facilities, the real price is Rp. 7.01 billion, while the value of the contract paid is Rp. 7.86 billion. For the unit to decompose fire material, the real price is Rp. 32.05 billion, while the contract value is Rp. 33.49 billion.

The total price difference paid by the DKI Provincial Government and the real price disclosed by the BPK reached Rp. 6.52 billion.

The price difference is deemed to be causing state losses if not returned.

The BPK then gave a recommendation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to instruct officials holding finance to be more careful in supervising the implementation of their subordinates’ duties.

BPK asked for the overpayment amounting to Rp. 6.52 billion to be returned to the regional treasury and was asked so that the incident did not happen again.
