According to a reporter from the Keystone-SDA news agency, the protesters gathered in the central square and walked through the streets of Biel to the congress center. They carried cardboard signs with them calling for respect and “stop racism”.

On the demo train through the city there were always minutes of silence during which the protesters knelt with their fists raised. Some of the demonstrators wore hygiene masks and the distance rules were not observed. According to the reporter, no police presence was visible.
