The number of reported corona cases in Berlin rose by 548 on Sunday (December 13, 2020). It is now 78 798, as the latest status report from the health administration shows.

The statistics also recorded eight other deaths; the number of those who have died from or with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic is now 821. 58,284 people are considered recovered, 629 more than on Saturday. The corona traffic light is still red for two indicators: With 192.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, the critical mark of 50 new infections remains far exceeded. This value was highest in Spandau (251.6) and lowest in Pankow (119.7). The proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid 19 patients has now reached 27.5 percent and thus exceeds the critical value of 25 percent.
