Offerings from churches around Christmas Eve. Where to celebrate worship.
After two years of the pandemic, the anticipation for well-attended religious services in the communities is great. Although in many places the churches will remain cold during the holidays.
In snake bath (Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis) invites the Evangelical community to “Christmas in the woods” on 23 December at 7.30 pm at the Parkklinik (Rheingauer Straße). Up to 400 people are expected.
There is also plenty of room for worship carben (Wetterau district). The Protestant community of the Rendel district celebrates Christmas Eve, December 24, from 4.30 pm in the Rewe-Market car park (Rendeler Straße).
It should also be airy Seligenstadt (district of Offenbach). The festivities will take place on the covered parking lot on Aschaffenburger Straße. The Christmas Eve service starts at 4.00pm.
In Frankfurt meanwhile the Evangelical parish of Bornheim has set up a stage in front of the Johanniskirche (Turmstrasse). From 4pm on Christmas Eve it’s Christmas outdoors. At 11pm it starts in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Wiesbaden (Satoriusstraße) a gospel mass with the New Spirit Gospel Choir.
Christmas Masses a Frankfurter Dom they are at 18:00 and 22:00 on Christmas Eve – and in numerous other churches in Frankfurt and throughout Hesse. Also in TV It’s inside Radio Worship services will be broadcast. pgh
