Canadian diplomats in Kiev remain at their jobs and continue to provide consular services, the Foreign Minister noted.
The Canadian authorities urge their citizens to immediately leave the territory of Ukraine. About this on Friday, February 11, stated Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly.
“While we continue to work closely with our partners and monitor the situation, I urge all Canadians in Ukraine to take the necessary steps to leave the country now,” the diplomat said.
At the same time, Joly noted that Canadian diplomats remain at their jobs and continue to provide consular services.
Recall, earlier with a similar appeal appealed to their citizens USA, Israel, Britain, Montenegro, Netherlands, Japan, South Korea and Norway. The diplomats of these countries consider the situation in Ukraine unpredictable.
Soon they were joined by the authorities of Estonia, North Macedonia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Latvia. They also called on their citizens to refrain from traveling to Ukraine or leave its territory due to the threat of a military conflict with Russia.
