The story is told by the messenger. The man, a 25 year old Roma, was arrested, the child, however, was entrusted to the social services of the municipality
The tourist who reported the incident was on the seafront when he was stopped by the 25-year-old with a 2-year-old blond boy next to him: the young man immediately offered him the sexual services of the child in exchange for money.
While the bather, in shock, turned to the financial guard, the boy and the boy moved away towards the center of Ostia; here they were intercepted by the patrols of the financiers and by the State Police of the Lido Commissariat. The 25-year-old therefore left the boy on the sidewalk and ran away. As he ran away he screamed disconnected sentences and said that the baby was Jesus.
When the military joined him, the man threw himself at them. Meanwhile, the boy was joined by a police officer, who reassured him. He couldn’t even speak and was dehydrated. He was then taken by ambulance to the Grassi hospital in Ostia to verify that the man had not drugged him, but the tests carried out excluded this hypothesis.
The 25-year-old was also transported to the hospital. He has been subjected to toxicological tests, but the analyzes have given negative results. Subsequently, he was accompanied by the financiers to Fiumicino airport for the photo report and then arrested with the hypothesis of child exploitation and resistance to public officials. Returned to hospital, he underwent mandatory health treatment. Investigations are underway to clarify the relationship between the boy and the child and the origin of the 25 year old.
