Osceola County COVID-19 Support

Osceola County, FL – Here are the items related to the County’s COVID-19 response:
• While other counties have announced the reopening of their housing assistance programs, Osceola County never stopped theirs. To date, more than 2,400 families have received assistance with rent or mortgage payments, totaling nearly $ 15 million.
• Additionally, we have used approximately $ 224,000 to pay utility bills.
• We have also had 76 households complete the eviction diversion program, and our team is working with another 72 so that they too can avoid evictions.
• Visit housing.osceola.org to learn more about all of these programs.
• In support of our businesses and nonprofits adversely affected by the pandemic, the County has paid a total of $ 10.5 million in grant assistance.
• In addition, with our commercial utility program, we have committed more than $ 700,000 between four utility companies (KUA, TWA, OUC, and St. Cloud Utilities), to help nearly 600 businesses with their past-due utility bills.
• If your business has been adversely affected by the pandemic, visit our grant program at www.weveopenedsafely.com for more information.
