Mounting Pressure from Parents and City Council

Frustration culminated in a parents’ evening on May 16, where demands included allowing students to bring their own bento boxes and installing surveillance cameras in the kitchen area. Starting may 19, students were permitted to bring their own lunches. On the first day, 35 out of more than 400 students opted to do so.
