Opposition MPs came out with photographs of the deceased cameraman Alexander Lashkarava and suspended the speech of the Interior Minister.

In the parliament of Georgia today, July 18, oppositionists disrupted the speech of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri. The video of the incident was published by the NEXTA Telegram channel.

“Opposition MPs came out with photographs of the deceased cameraman Alexander Lashkarava and suspended the speech of the Interior Minister,” the statement said.

The opposition’s rally was supported by journalists from opposition TV channels present in the parliament. They put up posters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
