Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The decision of the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) won PT MNC Securities, following a lawsuit filed by PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia (Tugure).
Tugure jointly sued 23 parties, including PT MNC Securities worth a total of Rp 1.1 trillion.
The lawsuit is related to investment Tugure on a number of medium term notes (Medium Term Notes /MTN) published by PT Sunprima Nusantara Financing (SNP Finance).
MTN it consists of MTN SNP in 2017 Series A and B, as well MTN SNP Finance Level 1 year 2018 Series B and C.
The lawsuit entered the Central Jakarta PN with item number 128 /Pdt.G/2019/PN Jkt.Pst.
Legal Counsel MNC Group Christophorus Taufik said that his party appreciated the Central Jakarta District Court for not granting the lawsuit Tugure.
“Today, the Court decided on the charges Tugure it was not granted. In other words, what is the argument or opinion from MNC Securities got the truth, “he said Christophorus in an official statement on Wednesday (23/9/2020).
According to him, the allegations made Tugure it is unfounded. The reason is, the position MNC Securities only as arranger over several products MTN published by SNP Finance.

“Position MNC Securities only as arranger. Therefore, in the lawsuit Tugure we leave it entirely to the Assembly to judge whether a lawsuit Tugure valid or not and in fact The Assembly declared it untrue, ” he said.
He confirmed MNC Securities as a company supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) strictly adheres to applicable regulations.
President Director Tugure Adi Pramana has not yet responded to questions about the next steps after this Central Jakarta District Court decision.
Previous Tugure, a subsidiary of PT Asuransi Tugu Primary Indonesia Tbk (MONUMENT) already filed a lawsuit against MNC Securities and 22 other parties valued at Rp. 1.1 trillion.
The Central Jakarta District Court Case Tracking Information System notes that this lawsuit has been filed by Tugu Reinsurance and was registered on February 25, 2019 with case number 128 /Pdt.G/2019/PN Jkt.Pst, with the classification of matters relating to acts against the law.
Information from the Central Jakarta District Court shows that the first trial of the lawsuit has been held since March 19, 2019 and the trial with an interim decision agenda will be held on August 25.
In total 23 parties were brought to trial Tugure consists of 17 Defendants and 6 Defendants.
