JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Oppo showcased two of its newest phones that will soon enter Indonesia, namely the “regular” Reno8 5G and Reno8 5G Pro, in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/8/2022). On this occasion, Oppo revealed a number of excellent features that were present in the two phones.
Both phones are equipped with a number of improvements from their predecessors, especially in the camera and design sector.
In the event entitled “Oppo Reno8 1st Impression Event”, Aryo Meidianto as PR Manager of Oppo Indonesia, explained that this Reno series is indeed focused on the advantages of the camera and its design.
From the photography sector, the Reno8 5G Pro is superior to the regular version. Because, this phone is equipped with chip Oppo’s own Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is called MariSilicon X.

MariSilicon, which is made with 6 nm fabrication, is believed to improve the results of photos or videos from Oppo Reno 8 5G Pro. Especially when the device is used at night in low light conditions.
With MariSilicon X, the phone can reduce photo grain (noise) on images or videos taken by users. According to Aryo, this is also thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Noise Reduction which is claimed to be able to improve processor performance in reducing photo spots.
Chip MariSilicon X is a “legacy” of mobile phones flagship Oppo Find X5 Pro. According to Aryo, later, the NPU will be combined with an Image Signal Processor (ISP) and a multi-tier memory architecture in one chipset.
The combination of the two allows MariSilicon X to perform processing of up to 18 trillion operations per second (TOPS) with power efficiency of up to 11.6 TOPS per watt.
To simplify the picture, the use of MariSilicon X can result in fast device performance, without having to drain a large battery power.

Other excellent features that are also presented Oppo Reno 8 5G Pro features Night Portrait, 4K Ultra Night Video, 4K Ultra HDR Video, Turbo RAW, up to autofocus lock on the front camera (selfie).
Meanwhile, for the “regular” Reno8 5G, the available features are similar to those above, but cannot record images in 4K quality and do not yet have autofocus on the front camera.
The “regular” Oppo Reno 8 5G will be available in two color variants, namely Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black, while Oppo Reno 8 5G Pro available in Glazed Green and Glazed Black options.
Although the details of the specifications for the Indonesian version of the Oppo Reno8 5G series have not been announced, there is nothing wrong with looking at the global version of the Reno8 5G series specifications for comparison.
Specifications of Reno8 5G series global version
The global version of the Oppo Reno8 5G “regular” and “pro” have similar dimensions and weight, 160.6 x 73.4 x 7.7 mm (179 grams) and 161.2 x 74.2 x 7.3 mm (183 grams).
In terms of screens, both are compact carrying AMOLED screens. The difference lies in the number refresh rate. OppoReno 8 5G is “regular” at 90Hz and the “Pro” version is at 120Hz.
As for the screen landscape, the Reno8 5G Pro is wider than the “regular” Reno8 5G. For comparison, the Oppo Reno8 5G Pro has a 6.7-inch diagonal screen, then the regular Reno8 5G has a 6.4-inch screen landscape.
For the camera sector, Oppo has not disclosed the camera specifications carried in the Indonesian version of the Reno8 5G series.

However, if the camera configuration is the same as the global version, both will have a 50 MP main camera ultra-wide 8 MP, and a 2 MP macro camera. Then, for the front camera is 32 MP.
Oppo Reno 8 5G Pro and Reno 8 5G regular global version, both rely on chipset made by MediaTek.
The “regular” Oppo Reno 8 5G is powered by the Dimensity 1600 (6nm), while the “pro” version relies on the Dimensity 8100-Max (5nm).

Then, for the price itself, the global version of the Oppo Reno 8 5G “regular” in India is priced at 39,000 rupees (approximately Rp. 7.3 million), while the Oppo Reno 8 5G Pro costs 46,000 rupees or Rp. 8.6 million (for the 8GB version). RAM/256GB).
