OPPO Unleashes Reno 14 Series Globally with Cutting-Edge AI and Design
The innovative OPPO Reno 14 series is preparing for a global release, showcasing advanced features like artificial intelligence shooting capabilities. These phones will soon be available outside of China, beginning with Malaysia. They focus on design and photography, attracting attention from tech enthusiasts worldwide.
Global Launch and Design Highlights
The upcoming Reno 14 series 5G phones, developed by OPPO, will be launched internationally soon. They will first appear in Malaysia, expanding after their initial debut in China. The focus is on aesthetic appeal and photography. The phones will be available in white, blue, and green, using “gradient aurora design” and “mermaid light pattern technology.”
Advanced Photography and AI Capabilities
The Reno 14 series incorporates OPPO’s latest AI algorithms, including “AI Flash Photo” and “AI Editing 2.0,” integrated with the ColorOS operating system. The Pro version utilizes the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor and 12GB of RAM. A report reveals that global smartphone shipments decreased by 8% year-over-year in Q1 2024 (Canalys 2024).
Hardware Specifications
The Chinese edition has a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED flat screen, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1200 nits, and is IP66/68/69 dustproof and waterproof certified. The phone features a metal frame and a frosted glass back cover. The phone weighs 187 grams and is only 7.32mm thick. It supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, and has a 6000mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging. A “Nanoic Crystal Heat Dissipation Board” is included, providing three times the effectiveness of graphite sheets.
Camera and Zoom Features
The camera setup includes a primary 50-megapixel Sony sensor with OIS optical anti-shake, a 8-megapixel Sony ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony JN5 periscope lens with 3.5x zoom. It also features a 50-megapixel front lens with Live Photo, 4K HDR to Live conversion, and CCD special effects.
Reno 14 Pro Enhancements
The Reno 14 Pro has a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED screen and a 6200mAh battery. It supports 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
Additional AIoT Products
OPPO is also launching new AIoT products, including the Watch X2 Mini smartwatch, Enco Buds 3 true wireless headphones, and Pad SE tablets. The Pad SE is already available in Malaysia and is expected to be globally available alongside the Reno 14 series. A press conference will be held in Taiwan on June 24, offering first-hand news.
