Oppo Indonesia reveals the best-selling mobile phone series

KOMPA.comOppo Indonesia has revealed a number of mobile phones that are in high demand by consumers in the country today. As is known, the research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) reports that Oppo dominates the mobile phone market in Indonesia in the second quarter of 2022.

In its report, Oppo ranked first in the list of Indonesia’s five largest mobile phone providers in the second quarter of 2022, with a market share of 20.6%.

Oppo Indonesia’s PR Manager Aryo Meidianto also said IDC’s report was in line with the company’s internal data. The company has grown market shareone of which for the presence of the Reno 7 4G line e Oppo A96.

IDC has also reported cell phones from the Reno and Series A lines as two products that have significantly contributed to the company, especially the increase market share Oppo.

However, after passing the third quarter of 2022 (July-September), Aryo explained that the best-selling device after the Reno 7 series was the successor phone, the Reno 8 series, which was released last September.

“In terms of devices, the (sales) highest now are Reno 8 series devices, especially Reno 8 4G and also Reno 8 5G,” Aryo said when met by Oppo Gallery Gandaria City Mall, South Jakarta, Thursday (13/10/2022)).

“So, (Reno series) is the device that most consumers like today,” he continued.

However, when taken as a whole, of all the cell phone series still sold by Oppo, the Oppo A57 and Oppo A16 series, released in July 2022 and July 2021 respectively, are said to have contributed the most.

However, Aryo did not detail the number of sales of each of the aforementioned phones.

Products other than smartphones that are quite attractive to other Indonesian consumers are the Oppo Enco Buds 2 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) device which was released last August.

“Previously, Enco Buds (1st generation) people (manufactured) rarely want to come to the Oppo Store to buy Internet of Things (IoT) devices, but Enco Buds 2 is pretty tall,” added Aryo.

Oppo also plans to launch another IoT product, namely the Oppo Band 2 smart bracelet which will be released on October 17, 2022.

The IDC report found that Oppo ranked first with a market share of 20.6%. Hence, in second place is Samsung with shipments of 1.9 million units with a market share of 20.2%.

Vivo, which ranks third with shipments of 1.7 million units. Then, in fourth and fifth position, there are Xiaomi and Realme with a market share of 15.6 percent and 12.1 percent respectively. The following is a detailed table from the IDC report
