According to reports, the appearance ofl Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at King Charles III’s coronation depends on whether Harry’s “demands” are met. Earlier this month, the Sussexes confirmed that they had been invited to the Coronation. However, the couple have yet to confirm if they will join the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

The monarch’s two youngest grandchildren have reportedly not been invited to the Coronation. This is apparently due to their young age, with sources citing the two boys as “very young.” Lilibet will be a few weeks away from his second birthday, and Archie He will be four on coronation day.

Sources have pointed out that young children often do not attend royal events, such as coronations, due to the risk of “fidgetiness and tantrums”. Despite this, all three of Prince William’s children are set to attend, so it would be weird if Archie didn’t attend the coronation especially since King Charles was the same age as his grandson when he witnessed Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. II in 1953.

These would be the requests of the Sussexes.

A birthday celebration for Archie

The coronation date, May 6, also coincides with the fourth birthday of Prince Harry and Meghan’s son Archie. This means that the couple could be worried about being away from their son on his big day.

A source recently told OK! that the couple has “asked for some kind of celebration or recognition to be included in the celebrations of the day” for Archie.

They are anxious that their son’s birthday is not “lost during the momentous day.”

Harry’s request to “sit down” with King Charles and William to discuss issues

Prince Harry has reportedly requested a summit with King Charles III and Prince William to discuss their issues. A source recently told The Mirror that Harry “has been very clear and his position has not wavered.”

“He said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s his decision, but so far nothing has changed.”

During an ITV interview in January, Harry was asked about his Coronation appearance. The Duke of Sussex remained silent on whether he would attend, but said “the ball is in his court.” He added that there is “much to discuss,” expressing his “hope” to have the opportunity to discuss the issues at hand. He said he hopes his father and his brother are “willing to sit down and talk about it.”

apparition on the balcony

A source has claimed that the Sussexes have asked Palace aides to be included in the famous balcony appearance after the King has been crowned.

Although they were in the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not present on the balcony.

The source added that the couple had “requested inclusion” for the balcony appearance.

Frogmore Eviction

The couple are believed to want to stay at their former UK home, Frogmore Cottage, during their possible visit to the UK. According to the Daily Mail, the couple have previously been told that Frogmore Cottage will be available to them if they decide to attend the coronation.

The five-bedroom property, which is now home to Princess Eugenie’s young family, was previously Meghan and Harry’s first home in the UK. Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that they had been asked to “vacate” the property.

security issues

Prince Harry has asked for security protection whenever he and his family return to the UK. Following previous fears about security, Harry made the decision to take legal action against the Home Office for refusing to grant him this.

In July 2022, the High Court ruled in favor of the Prince, which means that his claim proceeds against the Government. It is believed that the hearing could continue in April, although a decision before the coronation is not necessarily a given.

Harry has reportedly been told that he must give 28 days’ notice if he is going to attend the Coronation. This is to evaluate security requests.
