Today I feel lucky not to be part of the homicide statistics, but unfortunately other defenders, journalists, activists, lawyers and citizens who have raised their voices cannot write a text as I do, from the isolation of my home in Ecatepec, along with escorts that I pay for and a firearm by my side —legal and registered with the Secretary of National Defense— without which I can no longer sleep.
