On the afternoon of the 12th, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security announced that as heavy snow warnings went into effect in the metropolitan areas such as Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, and in Chungnam, the first stage of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (middle script) to cope with heavy snow was entered at 4:20 pm on the same day.

On the 6th, the script asked each local government to make thorough snow removal to prevent traffic congestion on the way to commute as during heavy snowfall on the 6th and to actively publicize the heavy snowfall rules of action by sending disaster text messages.

“Please mobilize all available resources to thoroughly perform the snow removal work,” said Jeon Jeon-cheol, head of the company headquarters. “Also, encourage the use of public transportation when commuting and to prepare a plan for increasing public transportation.”
