Ooredoo Kuwait and Ericsson are collaborating to upgrade the network billing system to enable the advancements made possible by 5G technologies

Ooredoo Kuwait has entered into a partnership agreement with Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) to implement the Ericsson Billing System across its network. The modernization of the billing system enabled the development of 5G technologies across the Ooredoo Kuwait network and supported the development of competitive marketing strategies for a variety of 5G products. Ericsson’s billing system has significantly improved Ooredoo Kuwait’s customer experience and enhanced the company’s operational efficiency resulting in improved access to cash (L2C) capacity. Since this billing system implements an information security policy with centralized identity management (IDM) and Transport Layer Security protocol, it provides the best levels of security for the billing process in line with the security policy followed by Ooredoo Kuwait.

Ericsson Billing System provides Ooredoo Kuwait with a low-risk, high-reward way to collect and secure revenue streams and take advantage of business potential, whether in traditional telecom services or digital services, such as 5G and the Internet of Things. This system also contributes to supporting Ooredoo Kuwait to reduce the total cost of ownership by improving system performance to increase levels of self-sufficiency.
