The whole variety of regional and national groceries at a click: the online grocer will be launched on February 15th crispy in the Rhine-Main metropolitan region and supplies consumers in and around Frankfurt, Mainz, Wiesbaden and Darmstadt with fresh, high-quality food. The special feature: Around 30 percent of the range comes from regional producers and farms – the concept is based on a mixture of farm shop and supermarket and attaches particular importance to fairness and sustainability in the food trade. Customers can now register online for the start of delivery.

The compromise between modest food quality or long journeys between the weekly market, favorite bakery and farm shop has come to an end: from February 15, consumers in the Rhine-Main metropolitan region can conveniently do their weekly shopping online. Supplied from the central warehouse in Bischofsheim, Hesse crispy then in the future the entire Rhine-Main area around Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Mainz and Darmstadt, but also the smaller communities in between, with field-fresh and high-quality food. The new online food retailer guarantees to deliver the entire weekly purchase to your front door within a maximum time window of three hours from receipt of the order.

Farm shop and supermarket in one

The wide full range of around 12,000 products sets new standards, especially in terms of food quality: around 30 percent of the range comes from regional butchers, bakeries and wineries, which are no more than 100 kilometers away from the logistics center. Three times more organic products than in traditional supermarkets as well as well-known branded products and international delicacies expand the range. Managing Director Erich Comor: “Many consumers want more regional and sustainably produced food, but are constantly disappointed by the long-established supermarket giants. We create this offer and want to sustainably improve the lives of our customers through uncomplicated access to fantastic food. At the same time, we are giving local producers and farmers, who are under pressure from the stationary food trade, the opportunity to reach customers again with their products.”

Innovative concept for more quality and freshness in your own fridge

The fact that Knuspr convinces its customers with this concept is proven by the success story in Munich: Launched in August last year, Knuspr already had more than 20,000 customers there after a few weeks and is already delivering over 2,000 orders per day. With its innovative concept, Knuspr would now like to continue this success story in the Rhine-Main area and thus create an alternative to the tedious and time-consuming shopping in the supermarket.

For consumers, the concept not only means more convenience, but also more freshness: the delivery routes from the producer to the customer are short, baked goods are freshly baked in the company’s own bakery, and the delivery vehicles, which run on natural gas and electricity, are equipped with different temperature zones. This ensures that the cold chain for sensitive products such as ice cream, frozen pizza, meat and fish is uninterrupted all the way to your own refrigerator.

The new way of shopping for groceries also protects the environment: The central warehouse, which is operated with green electricity, not only replaces around 40 full-size supermarkets and large car parks, but thanks to a sophisticated logistics concept, an average of seven households are supplied per trip. In contrast to other delivery services, the drivers are permanently employed at Knuspr.

In order not to miss the start of delivery, customers can already register at https://rhein-main.knuspr.de pre-register for free. With every first order you get a filled Knuspr bag with regional delicacies worth 30.00 euros. Comor: “We look forward to being able to offer customers in the Rhine-Main area enjoyment, freshness and product variety in the future. At the same time, we look forward to working closely with local manufacturers and farmers.”
