Liam Broady (ATP 207)
The left-handed British tennis player advanced from qualifying to his first grand slam when he did not lose a set in three matches. The highest in his career was a native of Stockport in 154th place in April 2018, when he made a sensational break from qualifying for the Masters tournament in Miami and played one round there as well. Otherwise, his entire career has been mainly on challengers. After a coronavirus break, he played two tournaments of this level in Italy, including the quarterfinals and rounds.
He is a lesser-known tennis player, but he already has relatively interesting scalps of players such as Fritz, Tiafoe, Sela, Albot, Gulbis or Mannarino in his collection.
