One of the participants at Oslo Municipality’s press conference on Tuesday received a corona.

One of those who was present at the Oslo municipality’s press conference on Tuesday has been diagnosed with corona.

This reports Avisa Oslo Thursday afternoon.

Everyone who was at the press conference must have received an e-mail from a communications adviser at the city council leader’s office, stating that an infection has been discovered among one of the participants.

– Private health information

Head of Communications for Oslo Municipality, Hanne Gjørtz, confirms to Dagbladet that they have sent out a warning to everyone who was at the press conference – where they also encourage those who were there to take a test.

– This is completely normal infection tracking. This is also the reason why we ask for a registration from everyone who will attend the press conferences, and keep lists, she says.

She says that the notice has been sent out to those who were present at the actual press conference. When asked when the infection was detected, she points out that this is private health information, and something she therefore can not answer.

– We have no more information about this than the one that was sent out to those who were at the actual press conference, says the communications manager.

“We recommend everyone who was present to be extra aware of symptoms, stay home in case of illness and have a low threshold for testing, it is stated in the email from the municipality”, writes TV 2.

Infection record

On Tuesday, 1117 new corona cases were registered in Oslo. This is the highest number registered in Oslo during the pandemic.

At the press conference on Tuesday, City Councilor Raymond Johansen asked the residents of the capital not to lose heart.

– We come through this, as we have done many times before, Johansen said.

Johansen held the press conference in Oslo City Hall on Tuesday night to comment on the corona situation in the capital after the government announced its new, national measures.
