One of the attackers in the STEM shooting testifies in court – Telemundo New York (47)

DENVER, Colorado – One of the attackers in the STEM school shooting, in which the young Hispanic Kendrick Castillo was killed in May 2019, revealed chilling details about the shooting during the trial of his partner, with whom they allegedly perpetrated the murder.

Alec McKinney, who previously pleaded guilty to the charges in connection with the shooting STEM school, described the details about the day of the attack and said that the plan was to close the school and kill all the students in room 107, so that no one could receive medical assistance if they were injured.

According to McKinney, he and Devon Erickson they were “inspired by the Columbine shooting” – one of the worst school massacres in the US, in which 17 people were killed.

He also said that part of the plan was also for Erickson to take his life and “remain a hero, McKnney being the only culprit.”

The 17-year-old was one of the armed attackers who broke into a Colorado school in May 2019.

McKinney, a transgender youth who was 16 at the time of the shooting, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and another 38 years in prison with the possibility of being released on bail after serving 40 years in prison.

“Devon and I were not in a good place at the time, mentally speaking,” McKinney testified Tuesday.

“I remember starting a late-night conversation we had, exchanging messages on Snapchat, and we got to the topic of ” What’s the messiest thing on your bucket list? ‘” McKinney testified.

“I remember saying he wanted to taste acid, and Devon had said he wanted to get away with killing someone,” he said.

Erickson’s defense thus far has focused on McKinney as the crime handler and forcing him to participate in the shooting.

  • First degree murder over the death of Kendrick Castillo
  • Conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree
  • Six counts of attempted murder after deliberation
