Seven members of the Structured Group on Organized Crime “El Perú”, dedicated to extorting and threatening inhabitants and merchants from the town of El Callao, Bolívar state, were detained by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) assigned to the Command of Zone N ° 62, in articulated work with the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim).
The commander of Zone No. 62, G / B Adolfo Rodríguez Cepeda, reported that during the procedure carried out in the Cuatro Esquinas and Caratal sectors, two pistols and a shotgun were seized.
The detainees were identified as Abaíl José Mendoza Marín (20) alias “El Diente” -who has a history in the Siipol system for carrying and concealing a firearm, aggravated theft and generic theft; Archangel Amílkar Cabarele Yaguare (22) alias “Pichador”, Jhonkervi José Vera (24) nicknamed “El Bairon” with a history of generic theft, Pedro José Segundo Pereira Flores (29) with registration for violence and resistance to authority, and Carlos Manuel Mejías Duque (34), alias “Carlitos”, with a history of physical violence.
Also captured were Yinyer Yurdaina Rosas Mata (36), in charge of collecting the extortions and who has a history of trading in narcotic and psychotropic substances, and Elina Teresa Heredia Rosales (43).
Rodríguez Cepeda explained that Edgar Enrique Rodríguez Parra (20) alias “Cantuliano”, who opened fire on the military commission, was killed in the proceeding; he was seized with a Colt .45 caliber pistol, devastated serial, with 6 caliber cartridges without hitting.
