It has already been reported that yesterday in a tragic accident on the Bauska highway in the Baldone region, a Scania truck partially collided with the Misa River after a collision with a car, and fuel leaked from the vehicle. A Toyota driver was killed at the scene.
There is also one pedestrian and one cyclist among the victims.
In total, 98 road traffic accidents were registered in the country during the day, 11 of which were with victims.
During the day, 60 road traffic accidents have occurred in the Riga region, in Zemgale – six, in Kurzeme – 12, in Vidzeme and Latgale, 10 accidents have been registered in each, according to the data compiled by the VP.
