One dead and two seriously injured after a car crash in a ravine in Lousã

One person died and two were seriously injured this Sunday, following the fall of the light vehicle in which they were following a ravine in the Serra da Lousã, said a Civil Protection source.

The accident, whose circumstances are still to be determined, occurred at 18.02 hours this Sunday, in the area of ​​the schist village of Talasnal, in the parish of Lousã and Vilarinho, in the municipality of Lousã, a source from the District Command of Relief Operations told the Lusa agency. (CDOS) of Coimbra.

At 8.30 pm, one of the seriously injured people was still to be rescued, said the same source, saying that the location to which the vehicle was rushed is difficult to access.

The other injured man has, however, been transported to the University of Coimbra Hospitals.

For the site, means were mobilized from the municipal firefighters of Lousã and Voluntários de Serpins (Lousã), from GNR and INEM, totaling 28 operational and a dozen vehicles.
