Despite the terror and tragedy that inspired the monument, Michael Arad, the architect of the 9/11 Memorial, says his intention in creating it is to there is a feeling of introspection, unity and hope when visiting it. So, whether you are going to be there once in your life, or you work there and see it every day, you can reflect on the past, but also on the present: “all these different groups are together, they can allow you to take the past and put it in the present ”.
