Saturday, Aug. 1, at The third live concert of the concert series “Masa” will take place at 20.00 in the cultural space “Three Sisters”, said the organizers of the concert series. The concert will feature the saxophonist of the Lithuanian group “Sheep Got Waxed” with the solo project “Sheep Effect” and the local experimental music trio “Buer & Andromalius”. –

Sheep Effect music is inspired by jazz, experimental and electronic dance music. In 2019, Sheep Effect released his debut album, Saxual Harassment, in which he uses the saxophone in unconventional ways and merges it into a spicy musical cocktail with elements of drum’n’bass, techno and IDM.

On the European music scene “Sheep Effect”, saxophonist Simonas is known for his band “Sheep Got Waxed” – a powerful hybrid of jazz, electronic and academic music, which has gained attention by playing at major European festivals.

Under the name “Buer & Andromalius” are well-known names in the Latvian “underground” environment – Gatis Ziema (guitar), sound artist Kaspars Groševs and Andrejs Jastrebinskis (saxophone). They have joined together in a trio that mixes live instruments and electronics in an expressive sound.

The concert series “Mass” takes place in cooperation with the radio “Naba”, such performers as Erki Parnoja, Elizabete Balčus and Evija Vēbere have performed at previous events.
