The Order of the Three Stars is awarded for special merits for the benefit of the Fatherland, merits for state, municipal, public, cultural, educational, scientific, sports or economic work. Merits include individual outstanding work, long-term, exemplary and successful activities, as well as special merits during the restoration of Latvia’s independence or during the further consolidation of the state.
