OMV increases net profit by 8 percent to 2.1 billion euros

The listed oil and gas company OMV has in financial year 2019 its Net income increased by 8 percent to 2.15 billion euros, its highest ever net income achieved. Although the Net income collapsed by 42 percent in the final quarter to EUR 458 million, the dividend is to be increased from EUR 1.75 to EUR 2.00 per share, as the company announced on Thursday.

That adjusted for inventory effects CCS Operating profit before special items dropped by a quarter to EUR 781 million in the fourth quarter, and fell by 3 percent to EUR 3.5 billion for the full year. Above all, the lower oil and gas prices and lower refining margins made the OMV to accomplish.
