The new Olympique de Marseille midfielder Jordan Veretout (29 years old) confided in his choice to join the Marseille city during his first interview, published on the club’s official website: “It was important for me to come back to France, Olympique de Marseille is the biggest club in France, it opened its doors to me and I wanted to come here, moreover the Champions League was also a motivation for coming here, with all this fervor, it’s going to be magical”.
The Frenchman also expressed his desire to participate in the next World Cup (from November 21 to December 18): “It’s a goal that is also in my head, but I am focused on my arrival, and it is with the performances on the ground that will decide if I will go to the World Cup”.
Finally, the French international gave his opinion on the Italian method of his new coach, Igor Tudor :“I played against him last year when he was at Hellas Verona, he is a coach who is very demanding, but who produces beautiful football and with a lot of forward projection, the fans will be happy , it’s an Italian method very accentuated on work”.
