OM: ‘Nurse nurse’ administered medicines in hospital Den Bosch | NOW

The man who was arrested early last month for allegedly posing as a nurse at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital (JHA) has also administered medicines to patients. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) therefore now suspects the man not only of forgery and fraud, but also of attempts to inflict serious bodily harm.

The 24-year-old’s remand has been extended by sixty days.

The hospital previously said that it seemed as if the man had enough knowledge and skills to be deployed. He also said he had completed appropriate training. The demands to work in healthcare have eased as a result of the corona crisis.

“When he was unable to provide diplomas after repeated insistence and when signals from permanent JHA employees that he did not meet, JHA said goodbye after a short time,” the hospital said. The man worked in the hospital for a total of thirteen days.

The Public Prosecution Service is still investigating the case. Searches in a garage box of the man in a house in Bunnik had previously found medicines, needles and different types of uniforms. Work clothing and a heart monitor were also found.

“The investigation into his actions and / or omissions is complex, partly because he has so far remained silent.” The man will be examined in the Pieter Baan Center.
