OM ahead of PSG… at the price of the jerseys

Without having yet walked the lawns of Ligue 1 this season, Olympique de Marseille is already champion of the 2022-2023 financial year … in the price of jerseys. According the census of the footpack specialized site, the all-inclusive OM tunic (with flocking and the L1 badge) would thus cost 115.90 euros. It is a little less than one euro more than the PSG jersey (114.99 euros). More surprisingly, FC Lorient completes this podium, with a jersey sold for 114 euros.

For a simple jersey (without flocking or L1 badge), Marseille still dominates this ranking with a t-shirt sold for 90 euros, but shares its leading position with Nice, Lyon and Rennes. Its two dolphins in the overall ranking offer simple jerseys at 89.99 euros for the Parisians and 89 euros for the Merlus. The average price of these blank flocking and badge jerseys is 83.54 euros. Footpack notes that this price is 0.28 cents higher than the previous year.

Ajaccio 40 euros cheaper

The relegation zone is occupied by Ajaccio (75 euros all inclusive), Reims (94.95 euros), Auxerre (95 euros) and Angers (99 euros) – there will be four descents at the end of the season. The Corsican club offers a single jersey at 65 euros, or 10 euros less than that of Reims for example (74.95 euros).

Ajaccio flocking is also much cheaper than that of other clubs, at 5 euros against 10 for Troyes or Clermont and up to 20 euros for Strasbourg (average price at 14.64 euros). It is on the Lorient side that the L1 badge is sold the most expensive, at 10 euros against 5 euros for several clubs (average price at 5.80 euros). Auxerre is the only club not to charge extra for this badge, which must be affixed to the shirt.
