Immediately after reaching the finish line, Minařík Kudějová was tenth and knew that she would not improve the tenth place from the previous Olympics in Rio. In the end, as expected, she was surpassed by all five other kayakers.

The excellent form was confirmed by Foxová, who drove a flawless ride and beat the second Eliška Mintalová from Slovakia by 3.33 seconds. Ricarda Funk from Germany was also third with four penalty seconds.
