Olympic Champions Park Hyejeong and Varazdat Lalayan Crowned at 2025 IWF World Weightlifting Championships

Elsewhere in the men’s competition, Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ali Davoudi, a fourth-place finisher at the Paris 2024 olympics, achieved a 196kg snatch - the third-highest of the day – but was unable to complete any of his clean and jerk attempts. This unexpected outcome paved the way for Republic of Korea’s Song Yeonghwan to claim the bronze medal with a total lift of 410kg.
