Olivier Delcourt has decided. A week after sacking his coach Stéphane Jobard, the president of the DFCO chose his ex-assistant David Linarès, present as an interim on the Dijon bench in Metz last Sunday (1-1), to take up the challenge of maintaining. After 10 days, the Burgundy club is in last place in Ligue 1 with 4 points and 0 victory. An assessment which therefore cost the place to Jobard, who could have been notably succeeded by Franck Passi.
Present at a press conference this Friday the day after the officialization of Linarès, Olivier Delcourt explained why he did not choose the former coach of Niort. “His profile corresponded very well to the position,” he admits, but “Franck Passi came for a mission, he is faithful as an assistant to Laurent Blanc. He would have left with him if he found a position.” Not enough to be able to register for the duration in Côte-d’Or therefore, unlike David Linarès.
