Oldest resident of the Netherlands died at the age of 114 | NOW

The oldest resident of the Netherlands died last week at the age of 114, the residential center in which the woman lived and people around her family leave on Wednesday RTV Utrecht know.

Anne Brasz-Later was born on July 16, 1906 in Goes. She lived about forty years of her life in the Dutch East Indies and had three children with her husband. Her husband died in a car accident about eighty years ago.

At the time of her death, Brasz-Later lived in a sheltered house of a residential care center in Utrecht. She was cared for there by one of her daughters, who is in her eighties. However, due to the corona virus, the woman has been unable to receive many visitors recently.

Brasz-Later had been the oldest resident of the Netherlands since December last year, when Geertje Kuijntjes from Gorinchem died. Kuijntjes was also 114.

As far as is known, the oldest resident the Netherlands ever had was Henny van Andel-Schipper, who died in 2005 at the age of 115.

It is not yet known who is the oldest resident in the Netherlands.
