Okamura stole the text from me, the analyst is angry. I just forgot to quote, defends the head of the SPD

A speech by its Deputy Speaker Tomio Okamura (SPD) was also made during Wednesday’s meeting of the Chamber of Deputies on the current aggravated situation in Belarus. He also used a large part of the article by Slovak analyst and politician Eduard Chmelár, who blames the head of the SPD for theft. However, Okamura claims that he did not steal the text, he only forgot to mention the author.

On Friday, Eduard Chmelár wrote on his Facebook profile that he had accidentally listened to a television recording of a meeting of the Chamber of Deputies and suddenly heard sentences that were familiar to him. Okamura recounted his article in the House a few days earlier.

“I did not believe my own eyes and ears. The vice-president of the Czech parliament, Tomio Okamura, reads my entire commentary on ‘What’s the issue in Belarus’ from Argument Magazine as his own parliamentary speech without any mention that it is not its text,” Khmelár said.

The theme text, published by Eduard Chmelár in the left-wing magazine Argument, is the situation in Belarus. In it, for example, the analyst explains Lukashenko’s position towards Russia or Belarus’s relationship with China.

Hmelár noted that at first Okamura tried to supplement the text slightly with his own nipples, but then he read the word “word rough” of the Czech translation of his analysis word for word. The translation does have certain shortcomings and shifts in meaning – Okamura, for example, spoke of the “encounter” of Trump’s adviser Bolton with the President of Belarus, but “meeting” in Czech means “meeting”.

When asked by Aktuálně.cz, Tomio Okamura admitted that he actually used Chmelár’s text, he only forgot to mention the author. “I quoted from a publicly available source in the speech and forgot to broadcast the author live, I apologize to him and at the same time praise him for his excellent analysis of the situation in Belarus,” Okamura said.

Excerpts from Chmelár’s and Okamur’s text

Khmelny: “During the visit of US President Adviser on National Security John Bolton to Minsk at the end of August last year, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko suggested ‘opening a new chapter in relations with the United States’. In particular, Bolton praised the opportunity to talk about ‘regional security’. that he considers this meeting to be ‘historic’. “

Okamura: “During the visit of the President of the US President for National Security, John Bolton, to Minsk at the end of August last year, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko proposed to open, I quote, a new chapter in relations with the USA. Bolton – why do I say all this? Because the regime is described in some way, but at the same time they cooperated with Lukashenko and negotiated with him, and I will get to that cooperation, the Western powers quite commonly and as on a treadmill. And it is necessary to realize what is the result of these steps and why the SPD has the position it has, ie. more reserved. During his visit, Bolton especially appreciated the opportunity to talk about regional security in the Belarus region. Lukashenko countered by saying that he considered the encounter to be historic.

Hopscotch: “And although Lukashenko can masterfully meander the interests of the great powers, the operation is not without risks, because China exercises its power very assertively – as the example of Zimbabwe shows, where Mugabe’s government fell as a result of the dictators’ regime trying to deceive Beijing. . “

Okamura: “Although Lukashenko has tried and is trying to zigzag among the interests of the great powers, therefore the USA, the European Union, China, so, of course, cooperation with China is not entirely risk-free and has not been risk-free, because China, as we know he is exercising his power very harshly, and we can see this from the examples of Zimbabwe, where, in essence, the Mugabe government has fallen as a result of the regime in Zimbabwe trying to deceive Beijing.

Khmelář: “I understand very well in Moscow what the so-called color revolutions are all about. The aim of this move of the loop, the goal of all these preparatory actions, after which the Russian Federation is becoming increasingly vulnerable, is Russia itself.”

Okamura: “In Moscow, of course, they understand very well what is at stake here during the so-called color revolutions. Because from their point of view it is The aim of this withdrawal of the noose around Russia and of these various preparatory actions, during which the Russian Federation is becoming increasingly vulnerable, is to of course from the Russian point of view Russia itself.”
