Oh! Mercedes-Benz sells electric scooters for Rp. 37 million in Indonesia

The electric scooter is included in the range of the EQ series together with the Mercedes-Benz electric cars. The product is intended to support the mobility of users when they want to reach crowded places in urban areas.

Interestingly, Mercedes-Benz electric scooters are sold in very limited quantities and only seven units are available in Indonesia. While the price is IDR 37 million and does not include 11% tax.

“Actually, in Europe this is not a limited edition, there are quite a few. But bringing it to Indonesia is quite difficult. That’s why we only have 7 units,” one of the officers responsible for introducing the electric scooter told the media, quoted Thursday (12/22/2022).

According to the official statement, the Mercedes-Benz e-scooter will be brought to EQ Space which is located in Senayan City, Central Jakarta. Interested consumers can order the units there. However, considering that the number is very limited, you must be ready to compete with other enthusiasts.

In appearance, the Mercy e-Scooter is actually almost the same as an electric scooter in general. It’s just that there are a number of details that make it unique, such as a large logo that sits in the center of the neck, blue and white accents on the pedestals, a tiny digital screen in the handlebar area and signature EQ accents in multiple parts.

This product is the result of a collaboration between Mercy and a Swiss scooter company, Micro Mobility Systems AG. Previously, Micro had also partnered with BMW to make similar products.

The Mercedes-Benz electric scooter has a curb weight of 13.5 kilograms with an electric motor capable of producing a top speed of 20 km/h. While the battery is 280 Wh with a maximum range of 25 kilometers. Well, to charge it from zero to 100 percent takes about 4 hours.
